Seminari, concerti e incontri con la musica di ricerca

Per l’edizione 2026 di Musica del XXI Secolo, progetto del Conservatorio di Mantova realizzato insieme al Dipartimento di Musicologia e Beni Culturali di Cremona (Università di Pavia) e alle edizioni SZ Sugar, in collaborazione con i gruppi di ricerca CCOrP e DALM e con il sostegno della Fondazione Stauffer di Cremona, il programma propone un focus dedicato alle prassi compositive contemporanee multimodali, multimediali e transmediali. Il tema sarà esplorato attraverso gli incontri con alcuni protagonisti della scena europea: Thierry De Mey, Eva Reiter e Simon Steen-Andersen.

Il calendario comprende inoltre il seminario di Fabien Lévy, dedicato ai risultati della sua pluriennale ricerca sull’orchestrazione funzionale, e due convegni internazionali — The Plural Artist e Music Beyond Sound — che offriranno momenti di confronto accademico tra musicologi e compositori. I concerti vedranno protagonisti il Quartetto Maurice, l’Ensemble Hopper, il Duo Aria, il pianista Luca Lavuri e l’SCM Ensemble del Conservatorio di Mantova, affiancato quest’anno dal DCNL del Conservatorio di Piacenza.

I concerti e i convegni sono a ingresso libero e gratuito.
La partecipazione alla parte seminariale presso il Dipartimento di Musicologia di Cremona è libera e gratuita. Gli interessati possono iscriversi inviando una mail a dalm@unipv.it e riceveranno il link per accedere allo streaming. La partecipazione agli incontri presso il Conservatorio di Mantova è subordinata al pagamento di una quota, previo invio dell’apposito modulo di iscrizione all’indirizzo segreteria.studenti@conservatoriomantova.com. L’iscrizione è gratuita per gli studenti del Conservatorio di Mantova e del Dipartimento di Musicologia e Beni Culturali dell’Università di Pavia.

For the 2025 edition of Music of the 21st Century, a project of the Conservatory of Mantua carried out together with the Department of Musicology and Cultural Heritage of Cremona (University of Pavia) and the publishing house SZ Sugar, in collaboration with the research groups CCOrP and DALM and with the support of the Stauffer Foundation of Cremona, the programme focuses on contemporary multimodal, multimedia and transmedial compositional practices. The theme will be explored through encounters with several leading figures of the European scene: Thierry De Mey, Eva Reiter and Simon Steen-Andersen.

The programme also includes a seminar by Fabien Lévy presenting the results of his long-term research on functional orchestration, as well as two international conferences — The Plural Artist and Music Beyond Sound — which will offer opportunities for academic exchange between musicologists and composers. The concerts will feature the Quartetto Maurice, Ensemble Hopper, Duo Aria, the pianist Luca Lavuri, and the SCM Ensemble of the Conservatory of Mantua, joined this year by the DCNL of the Conservatory of Piacenza.

Concerts and conferences are open to the public with free admission.
Participation in the seminar activities held at the Department of Musicology in Cremona is free of charge. Those interested may register by sending an email to dalm@unipv.it and will receive a link to access the streaming. Participation in the meetings held at the Conservatory of Mantua requires the payment of a fee and the submission of the registration form to segreteria.studenti@conservatoriomantova.com. Registration is free for students of the Conservatory of Mantua and of the Department of Musicology and Cultural Heritage of the University of Pavia.
